What the fuck is it between wives and mothers-in-laws?

Why does everything have to be such a fucking struggle over the tiniest of issues?

I get on great with my MIL. But I know someone who doesn't get along with her MIL at all. I don't get it either. Some of the crap they fight over is stupid. On the other hand her MIL is a crazy bitch (I've experienced this myself). But I tend to get along with my MIL great.

Lock them in a room, dump a bucket of water over the both of them, give them some cardboard bats (not too soft to be useless) and let them go at it until they find something in common :)
