So GW is trying to stop the forces that seek our destruction? How exactly is that being accomplished? By killing thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians, not to mention our children that he's sent over there? The people we are fighting in Iraq are not terrorists, they're insurgents, people who want us to get the hell out of their country. Meanwhile, the terrorists go elsewhere. Meanwhile, North Korea waves nuclear weapons in our collective face. Meanwhile, our attention is distracted by gay marriage, Michael Jackson's sex life, and Paris Hilton. We are all being suckered, while this country goes to hell in a handbasket. We are all going to die.

Insurgents, huh? Good Answer! Here's a harder one: why are the 'insurgents' targeting and killing iraqi civilians? The US is taking the lightest casualties since the war began.

Why do the majority of insurgents, and especially their 'leadership' claim Syrian, Egyptian and Saudi Arabian nationality?

Do you consider an insurgent a civilian because they dont wear a uniform?

Why does the press fall over itself to cover the latest in koran mishandlings, or anything any enemy combatant might accuse the US of, but when it comes to covering the interesting 'techniques' used by the insurgent arab head-choppers, who torture (for real, not just humiliate) rape, and behead their prisoners (who most often are *civilians*), the press is dead silent? It's as if the media is afraid of the guilt it would feel if it caused more people to hate the head choppers and thus support the war effort? Yet it feels no guilt whatsoever feeding the rabid anti-americanism abroad with endless parades of abu graib pics and guantanamo koran abuses? The stuff that feeds the anger and gives legitimacy to the 'insurgents'

Iraq was never the last stop when it came to WMDs it was only the 1st. To stop terrorism you must sever the head of the entities that fund them - like the Iranian government.

Well that would be news since the UN unanimously agreed that saddam couldnt account for known quantities of WMD.

It's not like Saddam didnt have advance warning that we were invading. How hard would it be to difg a ditch, fill it with a few tons of nerve agents, then put a concrete slab and a Youth Center on top? For someone so open to conspiracy theories, you'd think my scenario would be an easy sell. Evolution is bound to work it's miracles. Why do you think we have nuclear bombs in the first place? Population control. If we blow ourselves up that is just the course of which natural law and chance combine to make living things better and better adapted to survive. some mutations will come thru that will make us more resistant to radiation in the future. Plus if you do die, you're not gonna know it anyway.
