Alone

So how many times do we chose to love someone we know is not right for us, just to avoid being alone?

Too many. Being alone is underrated.

We do it until we realize that we have enough love and respect for ourselves not to settle for lesss than we deserve.

Being alone can be a good thing. It can be a time to reflect, recuperate and center yourself. If you're always with someone, do you really know who you are without them?

You are all completely correct here!

I've been "alone" for a long time now and sometimes it's really hard but overall it's the best thing that I've done for myself in many years.

That and going back to school! Which is what made the breakup of my last "real" relationship happen.

She wanted me to quit my courses in order to work manual labor jobs fulltime so that she could "stay home and hang out."

Ummmm....yeah. O.k.

Bye bye birdie...bye bye.

This boy is working on his degree and she'd rather keep me down, digging ditches and breaking my back.....Fuck that! I'll be a doctor in my field in 3 more years (or 4?) because I've been working on me!

Get your own house in order....then everything else will naturally fall into place for you!

Be alone a bit and you will be all the more ready for an incredible relationship when you have one!

Give it a try! I have and it's been a great learning experience.
