I just wanted to state that I'm really getting tired of the extreme left constantly telling me that....
Iraq is about oil
Alito will send the court to the "ultra conservative side"
Senator Barbara Boxer is a good senator
Senator Ted Kennedy should be worshipped
Senator Clinton will be our next and first female president
Please stop already!
I believe our system corrupts all that enter its hallowed halls. Where is Mr. Smith when you need him?
You must have missed the memo. Iraq IS about oil.
Posted by: at February 6, 2006 10:20 AMAre we referring to the oil that will be sold to rebuild Iraq? Nevermind, I just remembered there was a memo changing that so the American tax payers can rebuild Iraq and the Iraqi's can spend the profits for oil however they like. We wouldn't want to take money from the American corporations who are also profiting from the oil sales now would we?
Posted by: at February 6, 2006 10:34 AMAfter gouging the American public with high gas prices after the hurricanes, Exxon posted the biggest corporate profits ever made in our entire history. In August of 1990, George H.W. Bush stated: "Our jobs, our way of life, our own freedom, and the freedom of friendly countries around the world would all suffer if control of the world's great oil reserves fell into the hands of Saddam Hussein." That's the memo you missed, I guess.
Posted by: at February 6, 2006 1:50 PMMy god, I cant believe your "democracy"
Posted by: at February 8, 2006 4:22 AMWell, technically we're a republic, not a democracy...but all that aside:
The US used to resemble a democracy, but no more. We are governed by a cadre of money-hungry facists as our freedom and rights slowly (or not so slowly) are being eroded, if not taken away. We have a so-called "president" who thinks of himself as above the law and who believes wholeheartedly in the concept of cronyism. His approval rating is more like a disapproval rating, so don't paint all Americans with the same brush.
Democracy, my ass. What is democratic about shoving "democracy" down the throats of the Iraqi people?

Listen up.
