I am not making this up.

I am a 44 year old husband, and father of 3 kids.
I am a physician.

I have spent every single day of the last 7 months of my life either stoned out of my gourd, drunk, gobbling oxycontin, or a combination of the 3.

Fun, huh?
NumNums.

Well if a 44 year old physician and father of 3 can spend 7 months tweaked off his nut, then maybe it works the other way round too. There's hope for me yet!

I'm glad you're not my doctor. You're going to make a serious mistake with a patient one of these days.

If this post is true, which I doubt, I can't believe the incomprehensible arrogance suggested by your actions. I know some docs have a God complex, but yours is unbelievable. Seems like your hippocratic oath is more of a hypocritical oath.

Yes, it is irresponsible behavior for someone with such grave responsibilities, but there are I feel acceptable levels of recreational drug use for physicians. This man clearly obliterates such limits! Though some addicts can be high-functioning for years on end, this man sounds more self-destructive. I hope he seeks help soon for what is a common and treatable condition.

Quit your job and find something less stressful.
