Uncertain

At 25, I am still very much uncertain about what I want to do with the rest of my life. I've completed my education (at least until I decide to pursue a graduate degree or a PhD program) and have gone through all of the motions.

I just want to do something meaningful with my life. My personal life is pretty much in order. It is just the question of the rest of my life...

Any advice? I don't want to waste another minute!

And what do you FEEL like doing?

Lots of things. I am a bundle of energy without direction. I want a steady, good paying job with benefits. And I want to write on the side.

I am engaged, so I am looking forward to our wedding. Thing is, financially I need a good job before we get married.

If I lived in an ideal world, I'd simply be a writer.

I'm 24, about to get married, in a stable job which could be my career, have my bachelor's degree, and also have a stable life, but I feel the same way...

I think that as we grow up we'll always have some degree of feeling like, "What am I supposed to be doing." Then one day we'll look back and go, "Look at all I've done!"

The more I think about it, I think you are absolutely correct in your statement. Just thinking about it, I've actually accomplished quite a bit considering that I've been unemployed for close to a year (moved to a city a love - where I'd like to live permanently, started an e-bay business, started pursuing my dream of being a writer, have a better relationship than ever with my fiance, developed a great relationship with his family, and created my own website).

WOW. You are certainly correct. Why do we always rush to do more and more?
