I am rooting for France also.
It is the most excitment since the last time we got excited about anything.
I also like the comradery that this is bringing about amongst the nations of the world.

Though I'm not from France, and I don't speak much French, I'd say go France too! :) The world really does speak Soccer. Heh.

France could have won, and I wanted them to win. I lost about every ounce of respect for Zidane when he used a headbutt against Italy. He is an awesome player,, but in that moment, he should have been ashamed of himself. He knew what was at stake, and that others were looking up to him. I wanted him to stay in the game, as i think he could have helped France win, but he so deserved what he got, and I hope more than any punishment that FIFA could give him, I hope his teammates show him how disappointed they were in him. Even his own coach was clapping when he got red carded and throw out. It was so unsportsman like, even if the Italian player had provoked it, he should have been more mature than that. So as sad as it was to see France lose, I wish they had won for them, and not for Zidane.

I am very curious to know (the voyeur in me) WTF happened. Apart from everyone's expectations of maturity from Zidane, I can not help but to think that he should have known too, he must have- I mean you must have the intelligence of a turnip not to know what the hell is at stake... And we know that these guys have a whole (Turnip)-patch's worth of intelligence at least.
