Changes to posting

Because a small group of individuals find themselves unable to respect others, I am forced to make a change to posting on Anonyblog.

Going forward, to post and avoid deletion or editing by others, after typing your entry, you can select the link at the bottom of the Create New Entry page that says "Transfer ownership of this entry". Select "anonymous" and then transfer. The post is then protected from change.

I will then have to manually publish the entries. At some point I will automate the publishing of entries transferred to "anonymous", but for now you will have to endure a delay due to the actions of a small group of individuals unable to respect others.

Thank you, Admin. I enjoy this site too much to let a few immature individuals kill it.

Gee, I hope you checked with Beaner Dude about this. We don't want drive him into a new tantrum!

Your Honorable Admin,
Thank you for making the much needed change to the system of posting. I am sure that all but a few will agree with the action you have taken. The ability to edit ones post is not that important and it is a luxury that is easy to lose. I gladly give up that privilege to see the Post Deleter disabled.

I can only hope that the next change will be to make the log-in password impossible to change. Please do not interpret this as a demand but only as a request placed in your suggestion box.

Additionally, an anonymous Anonyblog suggestion box would be a great add-on to your site.

Once again, thanks for hosting a awesome blog-site,
Vapor

I don't really understand why the change was necessary since one could easily go into power editing mode and make the change to anonymous from there ... but thanks for enabling it for those who didn't know about the above method, I guess.

I think the Admin has taken steps to keep the site trolls from having their way with the Finklestein Faction. There will be no more playing "Bait the Post Deleter".
Additionally, Turdman has been shut down.

I think it is peculiar that the "Ban the Clanners" were always saying that the "Klan's" days were numbered. The steps that Admin has taken have protected the ones who follow the rules.

Moreover, who needs to power edit their post anyway? All one has to do is be sure that your post is correct before you enter it. That is really not an issue. I also have to commend Admin for making it impossible to change the password.

What is most amusing is that there will be idiots that post entries with grammar and spelling mistakes. At least the chronic spell checker will have someone to pick on.

I'm not picking on them, exactly. Well, yeah, maybe I am. You may have noticed that I don't spellcheck any legitimate posts that are reaching out for someone to talk to. You may also have noticed that I rarely do anything more than to correct the errors; I don't pick fights with anyone. What's the worst that can happen? Someone will learn something, so sue me.

Hey Chronic,
I am not picking on you. I enjoy your antics. It is my pleasure to post with you here on Anonyblog. You keep me on my toes. I hope that you do not have the chance to bust me for incorrect spelling or grammar.

One more thing Chronic,
All posts are legitimate whether you think they are or not. Maybe what you meant to say was that you only correct the "less serious posts". Which is your way of expressing your dislike of these posts. You think?

Vapor:

Ya got me. You are correct in your statement that all posts are legitimate, and that some are less serious. Let me clear up any confusion: I don't spellcheck posts that appear to be from people who are genuinely in emotional distress and looking for someone to talk to. To spellcheck them would add insult to injury. Otherwise, everything else is fair game, especially posts from real dumbasses and posers. As for you, I think you are great. I enjoy every one of your posts.

By the way, the last two sentences of your comment should be combined as one, with a comma after your quotation marks and a lower case "w" for the next word. Sorry, I couldn't help myself!

Damn it all,
I am usually on top of the punctuation thing. I will have to do better from now on. I wish more people would post so you could focus your attention somewhere else.
Long live The Chronic Spell Checker!

A husband and wife decided they needed to use "a code" to indicate that they wanted to have sex without letting their children in on it. They decided on the word "typewriter." One day the husband told his five year old daughter, "Go tell your mommy that daddy needs to type a letter." The child told her mom what her dad said and her mother responded, "Tell your daddy that he can't type a letter right now because there's a red ribbon in the typewriter." The child went back to tell her father what mommy had said. A few days later the mom told the daughter, "Tell daddy that he can type that letter now." The child told her father, returned to her mother and announced, "Daddy said never mind with the typewriter, he already wrote the letter by hand."
