I can't get no.....

I'm an addict. Instant gratification is my addiction. Without it, I feel empty. It leaves me empty. I long for love. I long for money. I long for sex. I get love. I get money. I get sex. And then it comes back, my emptiness. I continually long....but I'm not sure what I long for.

Is this life? This constant struggle to fight dissatisfaction. Maybe I'll buy something shiny and new. Maybe this will "fix" me for a while. But it won't stop it. I'll be empty again. Fuck! (deep sigh). Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!

Ah, modern day society. Instant gratification is the rule of the day. It's instilled in us by our culture, our television, our media.

Find a way, if you can, to see a therapist. She/he can help you to clear up the mist of living in your eyes and heart, and find out what it is you are really looking for, what you really want. Perhaps she/he can help you set out on the path to whatever that is.

But please, please, PLEASE---don't turn to drugs. I have seen what drug addiction (and alcohol is a drug as well) can do to a person, to a family, to a community. Get some help before you are tempted to cross that line, please.
